Machine-Washable Weighted Blanket Care Instructions
Even though our Luna weighted blankets are filled with premium-grade glass beads, they are machine washable thanks to their quality construction! We hope this comes as great news, especially if you’re now used to using your weighted blanket quite a bit or have multiple in the home. To wash your EKO-TEX® certified cotton Luna weighted blanket, follow these simple instructions and your weighted blanket will not hurt your washing machine:
- Wash it separately in cold water.
- Select the delicate cycle, or other lowest, gentle setting.
- Use gentle or mild detergent.
- Tumble dry on low or line dry.
Can You Put a Weighted Blanket in the Dryer?
As you can see in the aforementioned step number four, that is up to you. You can tumble dry your weighted blanket on low, and that’s safe for both your dryer and the blanket, no matter if you have a lighter kid’s weighted blanket, or the adult's 15 or 20-pound. If you are not in a time crunch, line or hang drying your weighted blanket is another great option. Some of our customers prefer to do that just for the extra assurance that the softness will remain just as it always did!

You guessed it—to clean your Luna weighted blanket cover is just as simple as the blanket itself. Follow the same instructions no matter if you opted for the soft cotton, Minky 100% microfiber, or bamboo weighted blanket cover. While the whole weighted blanket itself is safe for the washer and dryer in the right settings, you may prefer to only wash a lightweight cover. Whatever fits best with your laundry routine!
